Retrospective Notion Template

Maximize the impact of your team retrospective with this Notion template!

This was created for my own team after we decided that paying $39/team/month for a tool that was used only once a month was too expensive. This Notion template works just as well as these products, and also keeps all your retrospective notes, actions and topics available to the team in your Notion database. Hope you find it useful!

How it works

You have three phases of the retrospective: Think, Vote and Discuss. The template has a different view for each phase, which is designed to make the process smooth and intuitive.

Think

In this phase, each team member writes down topics they would like to discuss. In this phase, every member can only see their own topics, so they don't get distracted.

Vote

The voting phase is fairly self explanatory: Everyone adds themselves to the voting column for the topics they would like to discuss.

Discuss

In the discussion phase, the topics are ordered so the most voted topics show up on top. This is where the team get to discuss the topic, and write down actions. Use the timer widget to make sure you don't run over time.
